How to Market Your Event Using Instagram’s Latest Features

Instagram’s popularity has continued to grow since its debut in 2010. The app is one of the most used social media networks with 800 million monthly active users worldwide. Instagram’s reach has marketers going crazy about the platform, and with good reason. With two million monthly advertisers, it only makes sense for any business or marketing team to take advantage of expanding their reach.


So what’s new and why is it good for marketing?



Instagram rolled out its Live Stories feature in January of 2017. With this feature users can now go live and interact with their followers simultaneously. This is a great way for brands to present themselves on a more personal level with behind the scenes views. And you don’t have to worry about doing any preparation because the live stream disappears once the video is finished.



What better way to understand what it is your consumers want then by asking them? Instagram provides users with stickers that provide a yes or no answer, or you can even customize the sticker yourself to give other options. After voting, the current results will be displayed for all viewers to see.


A picture says a thousand words, so why not have multiple? This feature allows you to include up to ten photos or videos in one post. Followers simply swipe left to view multiple shots.
