Chamber Partner Terms

Chamber Partner Terms

How the Business Expo Center Chamber Affiliate Program works. Plain language, no fine print.

Who this is for

Chambers of Commerce that refer their member businesses to Business Expo Center (BEC). Applying to the program means you agree to these terms. A signed one-page agreement follows before any code is issued.

What the chamber does

Promote BEC listings and packages to your members using a unique promo code we provide. You decide how and when to promote, through your own newsletters, website, and member channels.

What BEC provides

A free filmed interview feature for your chamber, a hub page on our directory, your unique code and a promo kit, tracking of every sale made with the code, and commission payments. BEC handles all billing, product delivery, and member support.

Commission

  • 25% of a member’s first payment on any BEC package purchased using your code.
  • “First payment” is the member’s initial invoice. For a Pro package that is the one-time production fee; for a monthly or annual plan it is the first billing.
  • First payment only. Renewals and recurring monthly or annual fees are not commissionable.
  • Calculated on the amount the member actually pays, after their discount.

Member discount

Members who use your code receive a 10% discount on their purchase. This is the member benefit your chamber promotes.

Payouts

BEC tracks your balance and pays on a monthly cadence for the prior month’s confirmed sales. A sale is confirmed once the member’s payment clears and any refund window has passed. A statement accompanies every payout.

Tax paperwork

Chambers complete a W-9 at signup. If total payouts reach $600 or more in a calendar year, BEC issues a 1099.

FTC disclosure

Chambers disclose that they earn a commission when promoting BEC, in line with FTC guidelines. Simple language is fine, for example: “Your chamber earns a referral commission when you join BEC through our code.”

Term and exit

Month to month, with no minimum and no exclusivity. Either side may end the arrangement with 30 days written notice (email is fine). On exit, BEC pays any commission already earned and retires your code; your free interview stays live.

Changes

BEC may adjust commission rates or package prices with 30 days notice. Changes never apply to sales already made.
